Mad On The Moon returns to the music of Agio with RMXS, a two-track companion to the Pescara duo’s self-titled EP, released by the label in April 2012. Agio is the project of Andrea Gabriele and Marco Mazzei, two musicians whose work moves freely between electronic composition, visual art and performance. Alongside their recordings, they conduct workshops and lectures in art and music schools and create installations exploring the relationship between sound and image. Their music has found a place both at festivals such as Dissonanze, Electric Elephant and Netmage and in auditoriums and more academic environments. Gabriele is also a member of Clap Rules, while Mazzei provided the distinctive voice heard throughout the group’s album Golden Hands. Together as Agio, they build songs in which experimental electronics, psychedelic disco and human presence remain in constant dialogue.
RMXS is a second perspective on to the first EP, connecting Agio’s experimental songwriting with two distinct strands of contemporary Italian club music.
